Who Are Ya?
🎯 What is Who Are Ya??
Who Are Ya? is the daily soccer player guessing game from playfootball.games. Each day the puzzle picks a real footballer — usually a current Premier League star or a notable recent player — and gives you eight guesses to identify them from a blurred photo that gradually sharpens with each wrong answer.
The site supports multiple leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Brasileirão, Süper Lig, plus a Big 4 mix and a World Cup variant). The format is closer to Poeltl's silhouette than to Wordle: the photo is your main clue, with optional hiding for an extra challenge.
💡 How to Play Who Are Ya?
- Open playfootball.games/who-are-ya and pick a daily quiz — Big 4 (mix of Europe's top leagues), Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Brasileirão, Süper Lig, or World Cup.
- Look at the blurred photo of today's mystery footballer. Hair, height, posture, kit color, and any visible accessories (headband, gloves, captain's armband) are the main tells.
- Type the footballer's name into the guess box and press Enter.
- Submit your guess. Wrong guesses sharpen the photo — by guess five or six, the player is usually recognizable.
- Hide the photo under Settings for an extra challenge — you'll be working purely from the attribute grid the site provides.
- Solve the player within 8 guesses and a shareable emoji grid appears. Streaks and stats save to your browser, and the site also runs Box2Box, Missing XI, and a dozen other daily football puzzles.
