🎯 What is Box2Box?

Box2Box is the daily football grid from playfootball.games. Each day the puzzle drops a 3×3 grid where each cell has two criteria — usually a league or country and a stat threshold — and asks you to fill in a footballer who matches both. The "box-to-box" name nods to the all-action midfielder position, and the format rewards players who actually know the modern game.

The site supports a dozen leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Argentina, Brazil, the World Cup, and more), and each league has its own daily grid. Wrong guesses don't cost you attempts — they just don't fill cells — so it's all about memory and cross-referencing.

💡 How to Play Box2Box

Open playfootball.games/box2box and pick a league or tournament — Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, World Cup, etc.
Read the row and column clues for each cell. Each cell sits at the intersection of two criteria — usually a team or country and a stat threshold (Champions League winner, 50+ goals, etc.).
Type a footballer's name into any cell. The site accepts active and recent retired players with at least one appearance for a relevant team.
Submit your guess. If the player matches both criteria, the cell fills in green; correct guesses that also match other cells fill those in too.
Wrong guesses don't cost you attempts, but they don't fill cells either. Use process of elimination — once you know eight of the nine, the last one usually falls into place.
Solve the daily grid in 3 minutes or less for the best score. A new grid drops daily and an Unlimited mode is available in the iOS/Android app.
