MLB Pickle
đ¯ What is MLB Pickle?
MLB Pickle is the daily MLB player guessing game from mlbpickle.com. Each day the puzzle picks one MLB player â usually an active star or a notable recent retiree â and asks you to identify them inside eight guesses using attribute feedback.
The game uses a classic Wordle-style attribute grid tuned to baseball: team, position, batting hand, throwing hand, height, weight, debut year, and jersey number. Green-yellow-red feedback tells you how close your is on each, and arrows on ordered columns like height, weight, and debut year help you triangulate.
đĄ How to Play MLB Pickle
- Open mlbpickle.com to see today's empty player grid and the daily countdown.
- Type an MLB player's name into the search box. The pool covers active players and notable recent retirees across MLB history.
- Submit your guess to fill in the attribute row. Green = exact match, Yellow = partial overlap (for example, two players who played the same position), Red = no match. Ordered columns like height, weight, and debut year add â / â arrows.
- Use the arrows on debut year to triangulate. A down arrow combined with an up arrow on the next guess usually narrows the answer to a single player.
- Pay attention to handedness. A left-handed batter who's also a left-handed thrower is rarer than you'd think.
- Solve the player within 8 guesses and a shareable emoji grid appears. Streaks save to your browser.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
