Flickle
đ¯ What is Flickle?
Flickle is a daily movie guessing game built around timed clues instead of screenshots. Each day the puzzle drops six progressive hints â a frame, a quote, a tagline, an actor, a year, a genre â and you have to name the film before you run out of tries.
The movie pool spans Hollywood hits, indie favorites, foreign releases, and cult classics, so the puzzle rewards breadth. Each clue you unlock costs you points, so the goal is to recognize the film from the earliest clue you can â but if you stall, the next clue unlocks automatically and you just score less for it.
đĄ How to Play Flickle
- Open flickle.app to see today's first clue. The site starts with a single low-information hint â a year, a genre, or a generic frame â and unlocks more as you progress.
- Type a movie title into the search box. The site accepts original-language titles and the most common English release names.
- Press Guess to submit. Correct answers end the round immediately with a perfect score.
- If your guess is wrong, the next clue unlocks automatically. Wrong guesses also cost you a try and reduce your score.
- Use the Skip button if you're stuck. Skipping unlocks the next clue without spending a guess, but it costs more points than solving with a partial clue set.
- After six clues or six guesses, the puzzle ends. Your score, streak, and stats save locally in your browser and reset alongside the daily puzzle at UTC midnight.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
