Box Office Game
đ¯ What is Box Office Game?
The Box Office Game (boxofficega.me) is a daily box-office guessing game that challenges you to rank the weekend's top ten films by their domestic gross. Each day's puzzle uses real weekend numbers from the-numbers.com and TMDB, so the answers are drawn from current theatrical releases rather than a fixed historical pool.
The game was inspired by the Blank Check podcast and built by Laszlo Kiss (who also runs Actorle). A new puzzle drops each morning with the previous weekend's results, and the challenge is to order the ten films from highest to lowest gross â getting all ten in the right slot is the perfect run.
đĄ How to Play Box Office Game
- Open boxofficega.me to see today's puzzle. You'll get a list of ten films currently in theaters and ten slots to place them in, ranked from #1 (highest grossing) to #10 (lowest grossing).
- Drag and drop films into the slots, or use the keyboard to assign a film to a position. You can rearrange as many times as you want before submitting.
- Read the clues the game gives you. Each film shows its opening weekend, genre, and studio â and the closer you can read the marketplace, the better your guess will be.
- Submit your ranking. Correct slots turn green, wrong slots turn red, and the closer you are to the right order, the higher your score.
- Use the score breakdown to see how far off you were. The game rewards proximity â getting the top three right is worth a lot even if you miss the bottom half.
- Share your run with the daily link. The puzzle updates with a new weekend's numbers each morning.
đ Tips for Playing
