elementlegame.com is the daily chemistry guessing game from elementlegame.com. Each day the puzzle picks one of the 118 elements from the periodic table and asks you to identify it in six guesses. Each guess fills in a row of attribute cells â symbol, atomic number, category, period, group, electron configuration, and phase at room temperature â with green, yellow, or red feedback.
The puzzle rewards players who actually know their periodic table. The number of protons alone narrows the candidate list to a single element, so the goal is usually to triangulate that number within the attempt budget.

- Type an element's name into the search box. Suggestions cover all 118 elements of the periodic table.
- Submit your guess to fill in the attribute row. Green = exact match, Yellow = partial overlap (for example, two elements in the same period), Red = no match. Ordered columns like atomic number, period, and group add â / â arrows.
- Use the arrows on atomic number to triangulate. A down arrow combined with an up arrow on the next guess usually narrows the answer to a single element.
- Pay attention to category. Metals, non-metals, transition metals, lanthanides, actinides, and noble gases each have distinctive neighborhoods of attributes.
