Chartle
đ¯ What is Chartle?
Chartle is the daily chart-identification game from chartle.cc. Each day the puzzle shows you a real-world data visualization â usually a line chart, bar chart, or scatter plot from a published dataset â and asks you to identify what the chart is showing. The y-axis, the x-axis, the trend, and the title are all hidden.
The format is closer to a "spot the chart" puzzle than to Wordle. You have a handful of guesses to name the dataset, the topic, or the specific metric being charted. Each wrong guess unlocks a bit more of the chart's labels.
đĄ How to Play Chartle
- Open chartle.cc to see today's chart and the daily countdown.
- Read what's visible. The shape of the data â a steady climb, a sudden spike, a long plateau, a cyclical wave â usually points at the underlying topic (population, temperature, stock price, viral spread, etc.).
- Type your guess into the input. Chartle accepts dataset names, topic descriptions, and the specific metric being charted.
- Submit your guess. Correct answers end the round; wrong guesses unlock more chart labels â usually the y-axis, then the x-axis, then the title.
- Use the labels to triangulate. Once the y-axis is visible, the unit (dollars, people, degrees, cases) usually narrows the dataset down to a handful of candidates.
- Solve within the attempt limit and a shareable emoji grid appears. Streaks save to your browser.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
