Juxtastat
đ¯ What is Juxtastat?
Juxtastat is the daily urban-stats comparison game from urbanstats.org. Each day the puzzle drops two US locations â usually cities, metro areas, counties, or states â and asks you to guess which one has a higher value on a specific statistic (population, density, median income, and similar).
The format is closer to the "higher or lower" card game than to Wordle. You don't guess a single answer â you judge a sequence of comparisons. A new stat category drops each day, and the difficulty scales with how obscure the metric is.
đĄ How to Play Juxtastat
- Open urbanstats.org/quiz.html to see today's first pair of locations and the question.
- Read the stat being compared. Population, population density, median household income, and similar metrics are common â the more obscure the stat, the harder the round.
- Click the location you think has the higher value. The site reveals the correct answer and your running score.
- Keep going through as many comparisons as the daily quiz has. Most rounds run somewhere between ten and twenty comparisons.
- Final score is your percentage of correct picks. The leaderboard tracks your daily score and your streak.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
