Catfishing
đ¯ What is Catfishing?
Catfishing is the Wikipedia image guessing game from catfishing.net. Each day the puzzle drops a Wikipedia article with all of its text hidden â you have to identify the article from its image alone, then reveal the title to confirm.
The format is closer to a visual Wordle than to Redactle. You see the article's lead image but no caption, no text, and no category hints. Your job is to recognize the subject from the picture and submit the Wikipedia article title.
đĄ How to Play Catfishing
- Open catfishing.net/game/today to see today's Wikipedia article image with all text hidden.
- Study the image. Look for faces, places, objects, logos, and any visible text or signage.
- Type the Wikipedia article title you think the image belongs to into the input. Suggestions cover the full Wikipedia catalog.
- Submit your guess. Correct answers end the round and reveal the article; wrong guesses unlock the next clue (usually a partial caption or a category hint).
- Use the progressive clues to triangulate. A face you can't quite place becomes obvious once the site tells you it's a 19th-century painter.
- Solve within the attempt limit and a shareable emoji grid appears. Streaks save to your browser.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
