Worldle
đ¯ What is Worldle?
Worldle is a daily geography puzzle where you have to guess a mystery country from its silhouette alone. Each day the game picks a country or territory at random â applying rules so the same country won't repeat within 100 days â and shows you just its outline on a blank map.
The game was created by French developer Antoine Teuf and is now run by Teuteuf Games, the same studio behind Travle and other geography puzzlers. After every guess, instead of letter tiles, Worldle gives you three spatial clues: the distance from your guess to the target in kilometers or miles, an arrow pointing toward the right country, and a proximity percentage. Bonus rounds after the main puzzle cover neighbors, capitals, and flags for players who want more than one geography challenge per day.
đĄ How to Play Worldle
- Open worldle.teuteuf.fr to see today's country silhouette. The shape is the entire first clue â coastlines, peninsulas, and odd borders are the easiest things to read.
- Type the name of a country or territory into the search box and press Guess. The game uses the ISO 3166-1 list, so a few regional names (Scotland, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico) won't be accepted as answers.
- Read the three pieces of feedback after each guess: the distance to the target in kilometers or miles, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the right country, and a proximity percentage from 0% to 100%.
- Watch the colored squares too. Proximity is rounded down to the nearest 10% and shown as green (20%) and yellow (10%) tiles, with the rest of the five-square row in black â so a 72% guess reads as đŠđŠđŠđ¨âŦ.
- Use the direction and distance to triangulate. A guess that's close in distance but pointed the wrong way is more useful than a guess that's far on the right continent.
- You have six guesses total. After solving, bonus rounds open up â neighbors, capital city, and flag â for players who want to keep playing.
đ Tips for Playing
- Start with a broad guess to gather as much information as possible
- Pay attention to every piece of feedback â even small details matter
- Think about what's unique or distinctive about the clues you've received
- Practice daily to build your pattern recognition skills
- Share your results with friends to compare strategies
