đŸŽ¯ What is Squareword?

Squareword is the daily double-Wordle game from squareword.org. Each day the puzzle drops two 5×5 grids side by side, and you make one guess at a time. The letters you type go into both grids simultaneously, and color-coded feedback tells you which grid each cell belongs to.

The format is unique: the two grids share a 5-letter word, and the goal is to find the shared word that satisfies both grids' color feedback at once. The puzzle is closer to a logic puzzle than to standard Wordle — you have to think about how your guess satisfies both sides simultaneously.

💡 How to Play Squareword

  1. Open squareword.org to see today's two 5×5 grids side by side.
  2. Type a five-letter English word into the shared input. Your guess applies to both grids at once.
  3. Read the color feedback. Each cell shows whether the letter belongs in the left grid, the right grid, or both — and whether it's in the right position.
  4. Use the dual feedback to triangulate. A word that satisfies both grids simultaneously is much more constrained than a word that satisfies just one.
  5. Pay attention to position feedback. Cells in the same column across both grids sometimes share letters, so a green cell in one grid hints at a position in the other.
  6. Solve both grids within the attempt limit and a shareable score card appears. Streaks save to your browser.
