đ¯ What is Pointguessr?
PointGuessr is the daily historical-photo guessing game from pointguessr.com. Each day the puzzle drops a real historical photograph â usually a vintage scene from the late 19th or 20th century â and asks you to guess both where it was taken and when.
It's similar to TimeGuessr but with a more social angle. The site has a real-time cooperation mode that lets you and a friend (or a Discord/Slack/Teams group) place pins and adjust the year slider together, with changes syncing across all players in real time. A daily challenge mode runs five curated photos per day, and the regular mode pulls from a library of 2,747+ unique photographs.

- Open pointguessr.com and pick a mode â Daily (five curated photos per day) or Guess (endless random photos from the library).
- Look at today's photograph. Clothing, hairstyles, vehicles, signage, and architecture are the main era and location tells.
- Click anywhere on the world map to drop your location pin. Drag the year slider or type a year into the input for your time guess.
- Press Guess to submit. PointGuessr reveals the true location and year and awards points based on both â within a few hundred kilometers and a few years is a perfect round.
- Try the real-time cooperation mode for a social experience. Share your session link with friends and the map syncs across all players in real time.
- A new photo drops daily. The site tracks your daily score and your streak.
