🎯 What is Betweenle?

Betweenle is the daily alphabetical-position word guessing game from betweenle.com. Each day the puzzle picks a secret five-letter English word and tells you it sits between two bookend words in the dictionary. Your job is to guess the secret word using only words that fall between those two bookends.

Each guess reveals whether the secret word is alphabetically before or after your guess, and how close it is to the top or bottom bookend (shown as a percentage). The mechanic is unique: instead of letter feedback, you get positional feedback that narrows the dictionary range with every guess.

Open betweenle.com to see today's bookend words — the secret word is hidden somewhere between them in alphabetical order.
Type any valid English word that falls alphabetically between the two bookends.
Submit your guess. Betweenle tells you whether the secret word is placed before or after your guess, and shows an orange dot indicating whether it's closer to the top or bottom bookend. A percentage tells you how far you are from each bookend.
Use the feedback to triangulate. Each guess halves the dictionary range between the bookends.
Try to solve in 12 guesses or fewer — five guesses earns the maximum score, twelve the minimum.
A shareable score card appears with your daily result. The site also offers a Custom mode (challenge a friend with your own secret word) and a Pixletters spinoff.
