💡 How to Play Animedle

1. Open animedle.app and you'll land on the daily Classic puzzle. The board shows three free starting clues (affiliation, gender, debut arc, etc.), the eight attribute columns, and a blurred silhouette of today's character.
2. Read the free clues before guessing. Scan for the most restrictive one — a specific series like "Jujutsu Kaisen" or a specific crew cuts the pool much harder than a binary like "Male".
3. Type any anime character name. Autocomplete handles canonical names, nicknames, and epithets across the active series list.
4. Press enter to lock in your guess. Each cell in the row flips: green means an exact attribute match, yellow means partial overlap on a multi-value attribute, red means no overlap. ↑ / ↓ / = arrows appear on ordered columns like bounty, height, or debut arc.
5. Switch modes if you want a different take on the same character. Silhouette gives you ten guesses against a portrait that sharpens with every miss, Quote plays the audio of a character's quote, and Emoji drops a sequence of pictograms that hint at the answer.
6. Unlimited mode has no daily reset — a new random character drops whenever you click New Game. Use it to drill the grid before the live daily puzzle comes back around.
7. Share your emoji grid once you solve the day. Your streak, guess distribution, and stats save locally in your browser and stay tied to your device.
